about

Julia Claire Weber

Most call me Jules! I am a studio potter and resident artist at Odyssey Clayworks in Asheville North Carolina.

I discovered clay in college while pursuing art education and painting at Edinboro University. I was obligated to take a class as part of my course load, and then I got hooked! From that moment on I pursued clay. I graduated suma cum laude from Edinboro University in 2010, with a BFA in Ceramics and a minor in Art History. Directly following I became the coordinator of Clay Space, a community clay studio in Erie Pennsylvania. There I taught various classes, connected community, and had the pleasure of running grant projects to make my hometown a better place. I have participated in several shows across the United States and my work can be found in various galleries and stores. In 2015, very wonderful friends gave me a nudge in the right direction! I made a decision to follow my dreams of being a full-time artist. It is with great excitement that I now AM! Please see my resume for a detailed list of my achievements and milestones!
